I am a professional organist and musician. I was executive director of the North Carolina Professional Lobbyists Association from 2020 to 2023. As interim executive director of the North Carolina Master Chorale, I led the organization through a leadership transition and produced its highest-attended non-Christmas concert. At NCPLA, I helped grow membership about 20% and financial reserves 44%. I am the fractional communications director for Hayes Barton United Methodist Church, where I have done graphic design for about ten years. I also run a full embedded communications office for a national research foundation, where output tripled in two years. And I support MyMatR, a technology company, where I supported its expansion from one product to three.

Associations, the arts and research are where I have spent my working life. I usually understand how your organization works before we start, because I have sat in the same meetings.
